AIGA DFW Card Deck Community Project 2019

For the 2019 AIGA DFW Community Card deck project, that year’s theme was “Go Fish: Undersea Creatures”. Members of the AIGA DFW chapter are each given the opportunity to interpret the theme through their individual style. The final card deck is then produced and available for limited release for the following year. The card I was assigned was the alligator card where I utilized the assigned color palette to create an Australian Aboriginal-inspired design utilizing dots and fractured shapes.

“Olmsted-Kirk Paper and Blanks Printing have generously joined us as partners in this unique project. Together, we fully embrace the idea that each year of The Deck serves as a time capsule, documenting the changing face of design in the DFW community, via beautifully boxed collections.”
